MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Bring Night Lights to your community

Night Lights supports families who have children with special needs in a profound way! We are excited to announce that we are expanding our program into new communities throughout Colorado and would love to partner with you.

If you are interested in learning more about how you can bring Night Lights to your church please contact us. Whether you are a member of the church staff or simply attend services, we will provide you with the support and tools to build a successful Night Lights.

Night Lights is a Christian-based nonprofit organization; however, we do not require volunteers or families to be a member of any religion or church. We hold strict core values and anti-discrimination beliefs.

TOOLS WE PROVIDE TO GET YOU STARTED:

  • Financial support

    • Night Lights provides 100% of site funding, we just ask that you help by recruiting families and volunteers by seeking community support and support from the congregation/church.

      • While we provide the funding, we appreciate your help and support in gathering new donations.
  • Night Lights encourages the church staff and members to attend our fundraisers.
  • 1 on 1 ongoing coaching for best practices for the site director with our executive director

  • Insurance
  • Initial training for the entire leadership team

  • Operations manual with step-by-step instructions including child safety training and funding for CPR/First Aid certification for your leadership team

  • Volunteer training manual and slideshow for new and future volunteers

  • Fillable .pdf forms for easy parent registration

  • Volunteer recruitment tools and support

  • Ongoing site support and tools

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • A safe, secure, and accessible space for a minimum of 50 individuals including access to bathrooms.
  • Help recruiting volunteers and a site director
  • Sites must have an evacuation plan clearly posted and in place and communicated to our leadership team.

    • AED/first aid kit on site and accessible.
  • Each site must adhere to strict guidelines as far as other events that can take place during a Night Lights respite event.

  • Access to the agreed upon space as it is reserved from 5pm until 10:30pm one Friday of every month (whichever Friday night that works best for the leadership team and host facility).

    • We do ask for it to be the same every month for consistency purposes (ie: the second Friday of every month).
  • If there is a conflict due to a holy day of obligation, that must be communicated in writing 30 days in advance.

  • The opportunity to speak to the church members on occasion to express the value of Night Lights including inviting them to volunteer and support Night Lights.

  • Support in spreading the word of Night Lights mission and vision.
